LMI Chemical Feed System Pressure Relief Valves are designed to protect chemical feed system components from over pressure damage caused by defective equipment or blockage in the chemical feed discharge line. These pressure relief valves are factory set to 50 PSI, but can be adjusted from 0 to 150 PSI.

The LMI chemical feed system pressure relief valve opens when system pressure exceeds the preset pressure of the pressure relief valve. When the preset chemical pressure is exceeded, a diaphragm is forced open and the chemical solution flows out the relief port and back into the chemical supply tank.

The chemical pressure relief valve should be set 15 PSI higher than the system pressure. Installation should be made as close as possible to the chemical metering pump as possible, without any valves or accessories between the relief valve and the pump.

Chemical Feed System Pressure Relief Valves are normally not required on individual chemical metering pumps as they should be protected by a four function or equivalent discharge safety valve mounted on the discharge port of the pump.
